The Best Western Rewards (BWR®) program tries to be the best, and in many ways it is.

According to Tammy Lucas, Managing Director of Marketing Programs at Best Western International, with more than 4,100 hotels in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide, “Best Western is the world’s biggest hotel family, and we have a passion to fulfill our vision to lead the industry in customer care.”

A Competitive Program

BWR is one of the most generous frequent guest programs. It’s free, has no blackout dates, points never expire, it has the most aggressive promotions and it’s one of the few truly international programs. Each time members stay at a Best Western hotel, they earn 10 BWR points for each U.S. dollar spent, 250 miles on a partner airline or 20 AIR MILES® per stay. Points can be spent on free hotel stays worldwide, the Best Western Travel Card®, air travel, or products and services from more than 50 partner companies, including dining, shopping and entertainment. BWR has one of the broadest selections of rewards, starting at the lowest redemption threshold in the industry.

Three elite tier levels reward guests who stay at least 10 times, or who earn 10,000 BWR points per calendar year on hotel stays, making it the most competitive and achievable of any hotel reward program. With the Status Match…No Catch® program, Best Western matches elite status from any other hotel loyalty program.

The program includes Best Western Speed Rewards® and Best Western Ride Rewards® for racing fans and motorcyclists respectively, and the CAA/AAA preferred program.

The new Best Western Business AdvantageSM program targets small- and medium-sized businesses, offering preferred room rates, exclusive perks, elite-level recognition, and bonus reward points for business owners.

Earn Points Faster

Seasonal promotions allow BWR members to rack up points faster than other rewards programs. During the recent  “Jump Start to Summer” promotion, members earned a $50 gift card after three separate qualifying stays, and elite members received 1,000 bonus points for their first three reservations booked online.

“We are leaders in our category relative to social media,” says Lucas. “Last fall, we launched a Facebook Virtual Accelerator app promotion, which allowed individual Facebook fans to win up to 100,000 BWR points as part of our Fastest Way to a Free Night initiative. Our spring social media promotions helped us reach over 475,000 likes (more than any other major hotel program). This winter, Best Western became the first hotel partner to integrate Tripit travel organizer into its mobile phone app, Best Western To Go!®, and the first major brand to launch a booking widget on Facebook.”

Most Canadians belong to a hotel loyalty program. It’s no surprise that even more are choosing Best Western Rewards, one of the best such programs in the biz.
