AN EXCLUSIVE ENCLAVE

(2013 - Winter Issue)

Writer: STEVE WINSTON

You may not be Donald Trump. But at the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, you can live like him.

When you walk into its striking white towers, you’ll feel as if you’re in a luxurious beachfront world all your own. Here, just minutes from South Beach, Coconut Grove, downtown Miami and world-class shopping, you’ll be pampered with top-notch accommodation, dining and amenities.

You can eat on the ocean—literally—at Gili’s Beach Club, or relax with a tall cool drink at one of two lounges (one of them a pool bar). And you can experience the casual elegance of one of Miami’s best restaurants—indoors or out—at Neomi’s, a contemporary American bistro, which incorporates the flavours of the nearby islands.

Stroll the world-famous beach. Surf, swim, fish, dive, jet-ski, sail, golf, snorkel or kayak. Work out the kinks with a massage in the Aquanox Spa. Let your cares melt away in the warm sand and the salty breeze. Or relax on your balcony in one of the 390 rooms and suites (some with private whirlpools on the balconies), while you look out onto the distant uninterrupted horizon.

And you can do it all without the kids, if you’ve a mind to.

“Our Planet Kids program is an enviro-adventure for children four through 12,” says Sarah Hendricks, Marketing Communications Manager for Trump International. “We’ve created a genuine curriculum, pairing play with purpose. It’s eco-friendly fun. And you’ll never see our junior guests sitting in front of a TV or a video game.”

Convenient to All

And if location is everything, at the Trump International Beach Resort, you’ve come to the right place. Visit Bayside, Miami’s downtown gathering place where funky shops, restaurants and outdoor entertainment in a Caribbean-village motif are flanked on one side by the skyscrapers of the New Miami, and on the other by the aquamarine waters of Biscayne Bay. From Bayside, head out on sightseeing cruises, ranging from party boats to pirate boats, to view one of America’s most impressive skylines and the magnificent private-island homes of local celebrities such as Shaquille O’Neal and Gloria Estefan.

Or dine at one of the renowned restaurants in this multi-ethnic city, where the cuisine of the Caribbean melds with native-Floridian and international influences to create a very special culinary collage. Savour paella in the midst of the colourful street life of Little Havana or pumpkin soup in Little Haiti.

And close to the hotel are the renowned shops of Bal Harbour and Aventura.

“Here at the Trump International Beach Resort, we’re all about ‘sincere,’ ‘unique,’ and ‘memorable,’” says Hendricks. “No matter if you’re lounging by the pool or dining at Neomi’s, we’re always aiming to personalize your experience—from beginning to end.”

When it comes time to leave the Trump International Beach Resort, you still won’t be Donald Trump. But you just might feel like him.
