Every Palladium Hotel Group resort has a story.

Some also have best-kept secrets—from hidden beaches in Point Lucea’s Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa to the legendary Burros surfing wave that breaks off Mexico’s Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa.

Among the top stories to come out of Palladium Hotel Group recently are the unveiling of two decadent, adults-only The Royal Suites Hotels (TRS Hotels) in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, and the opening of a third, The Royal Suites Coral Hotel (TRS Coral Hotel) in Mexico, slated for fall 2018.

According to Jacques De Paep, Palladium Hotel Group Commercial Director for North America, a young, energetic and inventive management team is “totally dedicated to hospitality in every sense of the word—and to creating unique experiences for all our guests.” These can be big or small, such as the popular Smile Services Program, which infuses an extra dash of delight into celebrations, whether it’s a surprise balloon arrangement for a birthday or something more elaborate.

Innovative thinking in response to a burgeoning adults-only market has raised VIP service at TRS Hotels to new heights. Operating as private clubs with their own concierges and butlers, they are “hotels within hotels.” In addition to exclusive TRS Hotels services, bars and eateries, guests have unlimited access to neighbouring Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts. All guests of TRS Hotels receive preferential dining within those Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts in restaurants offering healthy options, special diet menus and adventurous cuisine tastings.

And for those needing additional pampering or a fitness program, access to the wet areas of any Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness facility is complimentary.

Suites and common areas alike showcase avant-garde architecture gleaming with natural stone, crystal and metals. Buildings are skillfully integrated into each resort’s exotic natural backdrop so guests can live in a rarefied world, yet still have the latest technology, media and amenities at their fingertips. And in a nod to the hotel group’s Spanish origins, Ibiza-style Signature Beach Clubs—a hallmark of TRS Hotels—bestow laid-back bohemian elegance.

The Royal Suites Turquesa Hotel (TRS Turquesa Hotel) in Punta Cana is nestled among luxurious gardens near the balmy waters of the iconic palm-lined beach and coral reef. The sumptuous hotel offers an enticing variety of suites with whirlpool baths—and some with swim-up pools. In addition to the spectacular array of restaurants, swimming areas and entertainment, benefits include free rein of the Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino, Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa.

Just 20 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, TRS Turquesa Hotel is within easy reach of nature reserves, water parks, golf courses and other attractions. Concierges can arrange excursions, taxis or special requests.

In Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the all-new Royal Suites Yucatan Hotel (TRS Yucatan Hotel) on Kantenah beach comprises 13 villas housing 454 rooms and is opening in December 2017. Surrounded by grounds that feature an infinity pool, Ibiza-style Beach Club and a beach area, guests are pampered with style and substance. A stellar collection of five international dining venues includes the cabaret-themed dinner and a show restaurant. While the setting is a world apart, many of the Yucatan’s renowned cultural, historical and sporting pursuits are short drives away.

Just seven kilometres north of Cancun, The Royal Suites Coral Hotel (TRS Coral Hotel) in Costa Mujeres will be set between a magnificent beach and calm lagoon surrounded by mangroves and extraordinary flora and fauna. Guests will have access to the facilities of the stylish Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa, which includes “The Village,” a gathering place for deluxe shopping, entertainment and dining. And of course, Cancun is just a credit-card’s throw away.

Addressing the growing trend in multi-generational travel, the nine Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts in Riviera Nayarit, Riviera Maya, Punta Cana and Montego Bay have made significant changes to better serve all ages and stages, and provide them with “infinite indulgences.”

Adds De Paep, “We are dedicated to improving our guests’ experiences in every way possible, so we are investing in upgrades in the areas that matter the most—service, food, beverage and technology. Guest satisfaction at our upgraded properties in Jamaica, Riviera Maya and Punta Cana soared after the renovations were completed.”

Enhancements include hiring additional staff and broadening the food selections for special diets with dishes such as gluten-free pasta and pizza. Ultra-premium brands of wines and spirits have also been added.
Free Wi-Fi throughout the resorts and media plug-ins are all part of the technology improvements.

All resorts have exotic experiences for families that include local wildlife reserves where crocodiles, koi, flamingoes and monkeys roam. At the Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa, families travelling with small children can opt for Master Family Suites stocked with amenities tailored to their specific needs. Also catering to them are the tiered kids’ clubs for toddlers to teens, offering top-notch programs for fun and education which are open until 11 p.m.

An alliance with the Emmy Award-winning Raggs Band, featuring five colourful pup characters, has brought these cuddly kids’ playmates to Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts. They regale children and adults alike with catchy tunes and spectacular shows that promote pre-academic skills and positive social values.

Couples fantasizing about elegant weddings, honeymoons or vow renewals can work with certified Weddings by Palladium planners to fulfill their dreams. They can select a bespoke package crafted by New York-based wedding designer Karen Bussen for Palladium Hotel Group’s Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit, Jamaica and Punta Cana resorts.

Ceremonies can be civil or religious; settings range from gardens and terraces to beaches and seaside pergolas. During their stay, couples can nest in the romantic privacy of a TRS Hotel while their families enjoy a Grand Palladium Hotel & Resort next door.

A range of wedding choices fall under the banner of “Simple Stunning,” named after Bussen’s series of event-planning books. Her newest package for multi-day South Asian weddings, “Shaadi Royal Bliss,” can include a Goddess Mehndi Party, Sangeet/Garba Music Night Party, Baraat and marriage ceremony under a mandap, and Vivah reception and dinner with South Asian-style cuisine.
