While The Palm Beaches is home to legendary resorts, exquisite mansions and gardens, superb dining, and the same refined elegance it had a century ago, two of its major draws continue to be shopping and everything to do with water.

Just shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, an experience akin to legendary Madison Avenue in New York and Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive, makes your visit worthwhile. Or head over to West Palm Beach and CityPlace,a European-inspired, open-air piazzawith gorgeous outdoor shopping areas, inspired by the pedestrian-friendly piazzas of Italy. Strolling along Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach is a great way to peruse quaint shops and boutiques, while downtown Boca Raton’s Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place offer upscale shopping with Mediterranean-style courtyards.

The new, award-winning Downtown Waterfront Commons is the focal point of Clematis Street, which is West Palm Beach’s traditional main street. It is home to SunFest—Florida’s largest music, arts and waterfront festival; the Palm Beach International Boat Show; Palm Beaches Marathon & Run Fest; and Clematis by Night, a musical block party held every Thursday.

With more than 75 kilometres of Atlantic coastline and countless waterways, there is never any shortage of amusement in the sun in The Palm Beaches. Fishing, diving, snorkelling, sailing, boating, yachting—the experiences are endless. Breathtaking views of the inlet and Loxahatchee River are a visual treat from the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, the area’s oldest landmark.
